Antipodean Adventure

Following on from the whirlwind of New Zealand Fashion Week, and after an interview with Francis of New Zealand fashion label WORLD; I hot footed it on to a plane down to Wellington to meet up with fabulous fashionista and gorgeous girl Michelle from MeMyWorldMyStyle blog, also known as @pradajunky on twitter and my great friend.

After a catch up over high tea, cocktails and dinner we spent Saturday shopping it up in central Wellington. As well as trips to all the main high street stores we also headed to designer labels such as Karen Walker, Kate Sylvester and WORLD, Workshop and individual boutiques like Keats run by the lovely Llisa.

Here’s what was purchased during our girly shopping trip in Wellington.

Shopping in Wellington

1. Glassons Leather Look Detail Coat – was $149.99 now $50.00 Perfect for the UK winter and on sale – yippee!

2. Glassons Leather Look Detail Blouse was $49.99 now $29.99 Easier to see leather detailing on pink version shown, bit egdy cool

3. I loved these Cue dresses but couldn’t bring myself to spend the money; Cue Nouveau Print Dress – cute but $415, very Mary Katrantzou! Cue Deco Print Dress – also gorgeous but $360 – saving for London

4. Following my trip to WORLD I had to have some of their amazing womens tailoring. I love this Master of Puppets Shirt $299

5. Looking for something different to wear in London this season I found this Max Print Bomber Jacket $129

I have a love of all things French so I tried the Patch Sleeve Oui Sweater from Glassons, but even the XS was too big and the patches are massive rectangles not just elbow pads – it was a no no!

So a bit of money spent on a Saturday but Michelle is heading to London soon so we saved a few pennies for a shopping trip to the Kings Road, Chelsea too!

Exchange rate at time of going to press $1.95 to £1
