Armand Basi Presents Spring/Summer 13
Spring has finally sprung. The sunshine has arrived and lazy afternoons spent by the beach, cocktails at a bbq with friends and holiday planning frenzies are occurring. This spring/summer one fashion collection that really has got me excited is Armand Basi. It might be the beautifully shot photography for the lookbook and its backdrop of a tropical isle but it is also most definitely the collection itself.
Created in the 1980s Armand Basi has a long history of presenting skillfully tailored designs that exude class and sophistication and has quickly earned a worldwide reputation for its avant-garde designs and innovative knitwear techniques. Fast forward back to SS13 and now there is a full fashion collection featuring the trademark knitwear but also shirts, trousers and outwear – for this season it is all about clean lines and exceptional summer tailoring.
This is my favourite piece of the collection – i’m thinking a beautiful constructed look for the office this Spring/Summer. Think a little bit Duchess of Cambridge, a little bit Carrie from Sex and the City. I love the smart yet glamourous look.
Don’t be a wall flower this season. SpringSummer13 trends are all about hot, bold brights. Stand out from the crowd with these bright reds and magentas working together.
Armand Basi tailoring is perfect for the office, for a party, for a wedding or for a holiday wardrobe. I love this pale blue wrap pencil skirt; fabulous for the office with this printed blouse. Bright yet subtle, stylish workwear.
Take a bit more pop of colour this season. I can really see this bright pink trench coat dress working well at a day at the races or a friends wedding. Whilst this gorgeous emerald green cardigan teamed with a knee length full skirt in a delightful print makes me relish in the fact that MadMen is back on our screens and I feel ready to wear this to a garden party or to a lunch with the in-laws.
