Colour Blocking is here to stay. Grazia’s Season Preview by Style Director Paula Reed said “There is only one way to do colour. From head to toe.” One of the key trends for Autumn/Winter is Red. We saw it at Betty Jackson’s A/W11 show last February as well as Bevza’s collection at A La Mode’s Catwalk Show.
Code Red – Autumn/Winter Fashion
Autumn/Winter 11 is about strong, vivid colours, statements of red, purple and greys. Great creative minds think alike. This weeks Net-A-Porter Online Fashion Magazine pledges their allegiance to the season’s “hottest shades – red, white and black”. Showing us how to wear them, how to style them and how this season’s dress is the “LRD” (Little Red Dress).
The Statement Coat
Taking on board the strength and power that shades of red can give to an outfit we present to you “One Look, Three Budgets” with our three fashion magazine, salary based outfits with our take on the Red Statement Coat.

We love this cute cropped flame coloured Trapeze Jacket from Kew159. This Mohair Alpaca cover up £129, is boxy with a funnel neck and will look fabulous with skinny jeans and a vintage tee for the front row or over a black evening dress.

H&M have a great range of jackets and coats that work within a budget. This Burgundy coat in a wool blend with slightly tulip-shaped fit and funnel collar is a winner for us this season at £39.99
Little Red Dress
For party season the LBD (Little Black Dress) just won’t cut it these days. Be on trend with the LRD (Little Red Dress) for cocktail hour, that executive dinner or the Christmas Party. It can be tricky to accessorise red. Based on the tone of the colour silver or gold might not work. So mix your look up with black accessories or prints such as leopard or zebra. Here are our picks based on our three budgets.
