Bath & Unwind | Tried and Tested
Last month I was lucky enough to win some fabulous beauty and body products from Bath & Unwind as part of the Sanctuary Retreats Virtual Suitcase competition. After a lot of indulgence from brands such as This Works, Korres, and Cowshed I must admit I was a little bit hooked. So when Bath & Unwind asked me to be on their “Tried and Tested” panel I couldn’t be happier.
Just in time for a treat during the stressful run up to Christmas, the lovely people at Bath & Unwind sent me a great little beauty haul. Plus a treat for one lucky reader! It’s always exciting to receive mystery packages in the post and when it comes to beauty products it’s always an extra special treat.
We often buy makeup for ourselves but don’t regularly treat our bodies to fabulous products. When was the last time you moisturised your body not just your face? Yes I couldn’t tell you either! Maybe it should become my New Year’s resolution – to moisturise every day.
That’s why I couldn’t wait to test out Talasso Body Butter from Guam. It promised nourishing, elasticising, preventing and reducing stretch marks and general moisturisation.
Now it is aimed at those during pregnancy or dieting; neither of which are me. But the fabulous ingredient Codium Tomentosum Seaweed is known as a wonder product, with the plant based biocomplex (that was my science bit!) And it I’m going to moisturise daily then I want to do it properly. It is quite a thick cream, so a little goes a long way. The fragrance is amazing, like a sea breeze on a sunny day and it doesn’t leave an oily residue so you can’t get dressed straight away afterwards.
Next on my list to test out is the No Wrinkles Tired Eyes product from This Works. The tag line on the package is “not enough sleep”, that’s me then! With a full time job, a full time fashion life and a lifestyle outside of all that too, I probably don’t get as much sleep as I should do. So this is my wonder product.
Billed as a “stimulating complex to help reduce signs of fatigue”, at this time of year with party season upon us, it’s my essential product. A defence against tired, puffy eyes and dark circles that repairs whilst you sleep. Our eyes often give us away when we’ve had a late night, this powerful serum aims also to reduce wrinkles and signs of fatigue. Perfect and also in rather funky packaging. You don’t need much (just one pump for both eyes) and you’ll be on the way to sparkling again.
