Be Bold This Season – Summer Style Inspiration
I love spring and summer months So many possibilities for outfits, colours, textures and above all not wearing a jacket when you go out for the evening! I’m taking a focus on hot block colours and prints in my search for the ultimate summer outfits. My wardrobe needs a pep up – and this season I’m taking inspiration from one of my favourite London Fashion Week SS13 shows – Issa London.

The birds of paradise are singing, its hot and humid, the ice is clinking in your cocktail glass and the latin beat is trailing in the breeze from the beach bar. I love this bandeau dress in summer forest print. It’s like a step into a luscious garden in the summer. An exciting but not OTT print that you can dress up with hot pink accessories, heels and a clutch, or tone down with a long sleeved white tee underneath, a coral cardigan and wedges for a relaxed weekend look.
For the office this summer, I want a dress that is on trend but not too short. A style that I can dress up for cocktails after work but look sophisticated in the boardroom. The Wiggle Dress in border wallpaper print is a little different. One to stand out for the crowd and cause a few whispers at the water cooler but professional and stylish and one to wow this season.
Essential for the summer holiday and a perfect fit with the Issa London SS13 collection – I love the Seafolly Paradise Frill Front Swimsuit available at ASOS. One pieces should be more popular than they are – I must admit I am a bikini kinda girl but I love the vintage look to this style plus the open back with cross over style and the spaghetti straps.

Let’s get hot things up for the summer with some bold colour blocking. The colours at Issa London SS13 show were crazily bold and beautiful.
I love this Belted Midi Dress with blouson sleeve available at ASOS – billowing sleeves in a hot burnt orange. Very 70′s and very sumptuous for summer, a v-neck dress with wrap front.
This midi skirt in ponte from ASOS comes in some three amazing colours. The midi is THE skirt length of the season. Style green, light grey or lime green to really give a pop of colour this season. It looks great with a crisp white shirt or liven a black vest top with some chunky gold jewellery.
Go a little Parisien chic this summer with bright cobalt blue high waisted culottes. Perfect for a summers bbq, wear with gladiator sandals or some wedges to give you height but never wear with court shoes or kitten heels, it doesn’t work with the line of the culotte cut and their mid calf length.

block colours and bold prints are always a safe option for me as I wear a lot of black and dark gothic clothing, my favourite brand is disturbia clothing and I think they compliment each other well.
