#beautybox | Sanctuary Spa Skin Perfecting BB Cream
Ok ladies, so BB creams have been around for a while. I know that the latest thing is now a CC cream, but in my beauty box this week is the Sanctuary Spa Skin Perfecting BB Cream. From the fabulous Covent Garden spa, a true gem nestled in the heart of London – many a fabulous beauty product has been born. The facials at the Sanctuary spa are pretty famous for leaving skin glowing and feeling fabulous.
Last time I was there, at the spa and just finishing getting ready after a luxuriously relaxing spa session, I helped myself to some of the free products in the changing rooms. This is when I first found out about the Sanctuary Spa Skin Perfecting BB Cream and now I am hooked! From their Brightening Facial that is available in the spa, this product allows you to “recreate that much loved spa glow at home, leaving skin feeling brilliantly bright and radiant”.
I use this product everyday once I have moisturised and its a base for my makeup and often what I wear instead of foundation. So what is a “BB Cream”? Well the BB stands for Blemish Balm. It’s actually been around since the 1960′s but recently has become hugely popular in the beauty world. BB cream is promoted as an all-in-one product to replace serum, moisturiser, primer, foundation and sunblock. The Sanctuary Spa one has an SPF 15 which is great as the sun starts shining this spring. It moisturises, conceals and protects for a flawless finish. It comes in light to medium and medium to dark tones – one word of warning it does leave a tide mark around your chin and neck so make sure you buffer that with a dry flannel to blend in the colour, once you have completed your look.
