Calling all high street shopaholics – New Television Show

Are you addicted to the high street, more Primark that vintage Prada? Do you race to the shops when the latest collection drops at Topshop, All Saints, H&M? Well we have an opportunity for you….

Our friends at RDF Television have told us about a brand new vintage fashion show for Channel 4 which will be hosted by the fabulous, lovely and hilariously good fun, Dawn O’Porter.

They are looking for women to be involved nationwide for a show called “This Old Thing”. The programme will celebrate vintage fashion, show viewers how to repair and revive clothing to bring it up to date, and has the aim of curing the country’s addiction to fast fashion – one wardrobe at a time.

Dawn O’Porter, fabulous documentary maker, writer and performer, sets out to prove that classic clothes from the past can be the way forward. So each week Dawn will take on a vintage fashion virgin and introduce them to the alternative world of fashion. Sounds perfect, definitely one for LadyM who has never really had a penchant for vintage style apart from the occasional handbag!

Dawn herself loves vintage clothing. She thinks it’s crazy to buy boring, mass-produced clothes when there’s thousands of quality pieces in hundreds of shops that are totally unique, beautifully made, look fantastic and don’t cost the earth.  Joining Dawn on the show will be the UK’s foremost vintage fashion expert, William Banks-Blaney.  He will be hunting for stunning, unique and high-end vintage pieces both at home and overseas from places as diverse as Miami, London and Paris

  • Are you scared of second hand clothes and a vintage fashion virgin?
  • Are you a high street shopaholic?
  • Do you have all the clothes but nothing to wear?
  • Is it time to pare down your wardrobe but up your style?
  • Do you have an upcoming event and are worried you will get lost in the crowd?

RDF Television and Channel 4 are looking for people who have a specific fashion problem or crisis for a BRAND NEW exciting vintage fashion programme.  If this sounds like you or someone you know, then email [email protected] ASAP for more info.
