Derhy – French Fashion, Autumn/Winter 11 Collection

The winter boots were firmly on today to contend with the weather but we’re not quite reaching for the opaque tights yet! The one thing we do like about the change of seasons here at LadyM Towers is the exciting new look books for Autumn/Winter that land on the fashion desk and the fashion magazine editorials for the new season collections. More of a Spring/Summer kind of a girl, it does add a touch of warmth to these early Autumn days with such sumptuous fashion to keep us cosy.

Derhy does Autumn/Winter 11 Fashion

We fell in love with Derhy in Spring 2010 with a fabulous collection of nautical themed, fun and feminine pieces. Fashion label, Derhy has over the years transformed itself into a ‘creation corporation’. The Parisian fashion house is led by Yvette and René Derhy, who surround themselves by fabulous stylists. Derhy is positioning itself in between the luxury and mass market with feminine, romantic pieces with an ethnic twist.

Giving depth and a sense of luxurious to their Autumn/Winter 11 collection, the team at Derhy have done well. We have fallen in love with their key looks for the season.

Lamelle Gilet

With a warming nod to the African print trend this long sleeved mixed colour cardigan looks fabulous over a shift dress for the office or jeans for braving the elements on a weekend shopping trip. Accessorise with chunky gold jewellery and a skinny brown leather twist belt to bring out the colours within.

Saburon Jupe

Our favourite look for the office, playful and feminine but smart and sophisticated. The skirt is a fabulous layering of printed lace and satin bow belt detail teamed with a thin knit with great french style. The skirt is available with gold or silver colour detail underneath the black lace.  Magnifiqué!

Blouse Decapo

There’s something very Chanel but then very D&G about this outfit. A feminine twist on the androgyny trend for this season. Long sleeved tailored lace detail blouse it set off well with black satin cuffs, pocket detailing and a button to neckline strip. Worn with a high waisted tweed and lace wrap skirt. There is something dark and sensuous about this strong outfit.

Danville Tunic

A 70′s inspired look thats got it going on but is simple and fabulous. A leopard print long sleeved tunic with embellishment along the front, worn with a fur jacket and accessories with gold bangles and the deepest of plum Farrah Fawcett style hat. Lovely for a Sunday brunch with the girls or a day at the races midwinter.

Parisian Chic

This look just screams “French Fashion House”. Stylish, but minimal. Clean lines but depth. This coat with its lapels, cuff detailing and cute pockets is already on the wish-list at LadyM Towers. We love the funnel style open neckline, it just oozes warmth in this oatmeal colouring. Team with your Hermes satchel for a perfect Parisian office look.

The season 2011-2012 can be placed under the heading ‘CHIC’! The wonderful Derhy designers have shown great talent in transcending the classic dress codes, by deftly incorporating contemporary trends with their own Derhy signature themes. The result is an elegant and very feminine collection which beautifies womenkind! Chic!

No doubt Black skirt looks one of the finest skirts because of its beautiful design. It has enough potential to attract the attention of people. I like it.
