Gina Foster Millinery
This weekend I joined the future in-laws for a spot of horse racing at Newbury races to celebrate my sister-in-law’s 30th Birthday. It was BetFred Ladies Day so I donned my latest fashion love, my Mary Katrantzou dress from New York, teamed it with blue wedges and my Diane Von Furstenberg black leather clutch, finished off for the cooler moments with my Glassons faux leather jacket and hot footed it with my stylish mother in tow to celebrate and have a great day at the side of the track.
Of course there was the standard Best Dressed Lady competition, sadly I was too busy placing my bets and sipping rosé wine to get to the paddock to enter in time but there were some absolutely amazing outfits on parade on Saturday. Hot colours on show were cobalt blue, coral and hot pink. A lot of jumpsuits; both short and long and a stunning array of headwear.
To be honest I hadn’t even thought about adding a fascinator or hat to my outfit. Next time I definitely will be and one milliner who is creating some amazing pieces at the moment is Gina Foster. Gina is based in London and specialised in ladies occasion-wear.
Her bespoke hats, headdresses and fascinators are just superb for society life, that special event over the summer, weddings or just to compliment your outfit. She sells her stylish ready to wear designs from her London hat shop and her designs have featured at the Royal Wedding of Catherine and William as well as her couture hats being a hit with the fashion magazines around the world. She also has an online store with hats ready to ship, check it out here.
SS14 – The Chelsea Collection
Gina Foster’s new collection for SS14 takes inspiration from the delicate beauty of flowers, the finest examples of which are on display at The Chelsea Flower Show. Flowers and fashion have always had a close relationship and this rings true more than ever with a selection of subtle feminine pieces, alongside more striking architectural showstoppers.
Gina’s designs can compliment the most adventurous of outfits but also really bring alive a simple, well put together piece. Gina prides herself on the personal service she offers to her clients, designs can be customised to provide the perfect match for a carefully chosen outfit. The depth of her designs shows the breadth of her experience and I am just going to let her work do the talking.
