HEAL’s Dream Living Room Challenge

I love a challenge. It doesn’t always have to be a fashion one either. So when HEAL’s got in touch with me, asking me to take part in their Dream Living Room Challenge then I jumped at the chance.

This is my opportunity to design a beautiful living room space with the HEAL’s product range. My core focus is a sofa. I got a pick of nine fabulous sofas from the current range and chose mine based upon style but also on name. The Hepburn.

HEAL's Hepburn Sofa

I’m a massive Audrey Hepburn fan, so that pulled me in first. Just like Audrey this HEAL’s Hepburn sofa is stylish, luxurious and a little bit dark and mysterious. The Hepburn range offers clean modern lines with the backdrop of 1950′s inspired button backed styling. The leather sofa is gorgeous, made in Italy, a truly stylish piece.

The concept for the blogger challenge is to design a “beautiful living room space” around the sofa. Accessorising my ‘virtual room set’ using the HEAL’S existing product range. Plus as a Pinterest addict, I have been pinning my inspiration on my HEAL’s Challenge board. Make sure you check it out here.

So the basis for my living room set is a Paris Apartment. On Pinterest I saw so many great monochrome, light airy interiors and this is where I got my inspiration for my HEAL’s living room. With the Hepburn sofa as the centre piece, it’s all about lighting, beautiful details and a complementary white, black, grey and chrome finish.

I wanted a light, loft style feel to my living room. Almost a blank canvas to have as my creative space. Using the HEAL’s website for accessories inspiration I have used the following pieces to build my dream living room.

Heals Dream Living Room

The Ligne Roset Ouverture Black Lacquered Steel Floor Lamp gives great oversized lighting to really make an impact.

Whilst I love the Eos Pendant shade to add a little bit of softness to the room, it’s pretty funky isn’t it!

No room is complete without a coffee table, I chose the Tom Dixon Screw side table to complement my monochrome look. Whilst the perfect place to rest your cuppa and store your fashion magazines is the Ligne Roset One shape side table.

If you have extra guests coming over then the Ligne Roset Pumpkin Low back armchair in white works well with the richness of the Hepburn sofa.

No room is complete without a comfy and stylish rug. I love the Designer Guild’s Riviera Jais Small rug by Christian Lacroix.

Adding a touch of colour to the room I love the Douppion Silk Cushion in Sherry from HEAL’s with cappuccino hues that will fit nicely with my Parisian inspiration.

Adding a touch of warmth is the Tom Dixon Scented Candle gift set, no room is fully functional without candles!

Whist the Cantori City Sideboard completes the room, making it functional and practical as well as stylish.  I popped the Finnsdottir Honkabell black vase on either side and on the wall there is a great Mineheart clock from the New York/London/Paris collection, to keep in with my theme.

So what do you think, a little Parisian chic to complement the movie star of the HEAL’s Hepburn sofa?
