Jergens wasn’t a brand that I knew a great deal about until they kindly sent me a sample of their body moisturiser range. They’ve launched a new look range with some incredible products, which I tested out.

I’ve always been terrifically unfaithful on the matter of body lotions – it’s very rare that I’ve ever bought the same twice. I’ve just never quite found the right one. It’s a bit like Goldilocks and her infamous porridge – but in my situation, it’s either too scented, too medical, too greasy, or not moisturising enough. Jergens couldn’t have come along at a better time. I’d become fed up of smelling like a perfumery counter after using certain overpriced lotions, and I still hadn’t found anything with a texture I liked.

The lovely people at Jergens sent me a Cocoa Butter concoction, to my delight. I adore coconut butter. Enough scent to be enjoyable, but still subtle, and the texture! Oh, the texture. Any cocoa butter infused lotions I’ve used before have been hideously greasy and have simply sat, annoyingly, on the top of my skin, refusing to sink in. Boo to them. Not so with Jergens, which blended in with ease, and gave me a healthy looking glow in the ol’ leg department.

I’m looking forward to exploring the rest of the range, including their Original Beauty Lotion with a Cherry Almond scent – yummo! There’s an Ultra Healing lotion which helps hugely with dry skin, and is infused with Vitamins C, E and B5. There are also unscented products, which are ideal for any of us with sensitive skin. I’m addicted to my Cocoa Butter though, and no one can tear it away from it. It’s perfect to apply after a day in the sun (I know! I can’t believe I’m able to type that finally! Thanks British Summertime!) and I also use it before a night out, as I love the sheen it gives my skin. Price points are excellent as well, with the range hovering mostly around the £2 or £3 mark, and you should be able to pick these babies up at your local Boots or Superdrug.
