NEOLA | Unique contemporary jewellery
“Vibrant colours, imaginative design and an unconventional spirit”; that is how London based Jewellery brand NEOLA is described in their Twitter bio. Owner Andrea Hauer has an amazing eye for design when it comes to gold, silver and semi-precious stones. Austrian born but now based in London, Andrea had a successful career in brand consultancy but followed her love for jewellery, design and fashion by setting up NEOLA in 2012 with a pop-up store in Notting Hill.

NEOLA’s brand tag line is “Escape the Ordinary” and the company ethos is derived from the “desire to create imaginative and unusual designer pieces”. What I love about the NEOLA jewellery are the colours, the vibrancy and the creative, playful side of the collection. The pieces will certainly brighten up any outfit – perfect for Spring/Summer and the pieces are unusual and contemporary and will be conversation pieces amongst friends for sure.

NEOLA’s jewellery range includes rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and bangles from their contemporary design. As well as fashion jewellery, handbags, kaftans, tunics and tops. NEOLA is inspired by a lifelong passion for travelling, and you can see this in the main collection, which takes me back to my business trips to South America; the days of the Inca’s and the Mayans. Whilst the kaftans and tops in the fashion collection hail from many a trip to Rajasthan India for owner Andrea. This is also where the natural gemstones are hand selected by Andrea Hauer for their depth of colour, quality and finesse of the cut. So they don’t make the collection unless she is absolutely smitten by them.
Pietra Cocktail Ring
Inspired by clear & linear lines this collection of rings has a focus is on structure & shape. The Pietra is NEOLA’s signature ring.
The raised setting makes the featured stone the hero of the piece. This allows light to penetrate the stone from different angles, enhancing it’s natural beauty. The collection features milky aquamarine, one of my favourite colours of the season which just takes me off on holiday to a Caribbean island. There’s Labradorite, an iridescent mix of blue and silver shades. Subtle, green amethyst, a statement look with the baguette cut highlighting the purity of the stone, or warming deep purple amethyst that has a regal feel to it. The band is 18ct gold vermeil handmade by artisan craftsmen in the heart of London. I love the simplicity of this ring but also the grandeur. The design gives an ancient feel, the feeling that there is a story behind it. But the cut of the stone gives it a fresh, modern twist – totally unique.
Duo Ring
The Duo ring is all about colour. As a Gemini, I love that this ring gives you the chance to wear two colours at once.
The collection ranges from vibrant and contrasting colours to those hues who compliment each other. My favourite is the Rose Quartz and Aqua Chalcedony. The design is very soft and feminine and has a perfect feel for Summer. Elegance is eight different colourways. Why not have many and team with your outfit on a daily basis. The gemstones allow you to add a touch of colour to your wardrobe with a tone you might not normally wear. Break tradition and do it twice with a duo ring.
