So, we explore three key themes for party dress purchasing this season. Whatever your age these colour themes and styles can suit all; just work it in with your usual style and make sure you feel comfortable. Dress up, dress down and don’t forget to accessorise!
Textures – way to have sparkle without sequins
Don’t think just because it’s party season that you have to go for the sequinned dress you’ve always had your eye on.. often they end up rustling, being itchy when you get hot and they demand a dry clean. Shine in another way; with textures!

The Little Black dress has found it’s way into the New Oxford Dictionary, it’s that popular. It can be the perfect go-to cocktail dress for the party season.
It doesn’t also have to be little! If you’re more comfortable with floor length or ankle length then that can look fabulous too. Make sure you have a touch of embellishment on the straps, collar or under the bust to add some depth to the dress.

Body Con Control
Ladies, there are a lot of fabulous dresses out there with inbuilt stomach flatteners, thigh thinners, bum boosters – get out there and enjoy some Body Con Control. Marks and Spencers, Next, Reiss, so many high street favours have lovely dresses with in built control. So throw away those Bridget Jones granny pants and be super sexy this festive season; whatever your age!
Kate Middleton Style
The Duchess of Cambridge’s fashion sense has really taken over the style pages in recent years. Normally outfits for daywear; take some inspiration from Kate and wear her chic style at night to be sophisticated and stylish at your Christmas office party or festive drinks with friends. Structured pieces and lacy dresses are the way to Kate’s fashion heart, along with our favourite dress from one of the Duchess’ favourite designers, Issa.
