Jumpsuit Trend with Rare London

When the lovely people at Rare London asked me to review a piece of clothing for them it was perfect timing. As January for me is dry january.. as in clothing drought not alcohol drought. A self imposed shopping ban. But if something is being gifted then that doesn’t break the rules.

I was allowed to choose form their party dress range and their playsuit/jumpsuit range. So I literally jumped at the chance (excuse the pun) to get onto the jumpsuit bandwagon. It’s a trend that I haven’t tended to even try to embrace before. But this week I showcased the LBJ (little black jumpsuit) rather than the LBD so I thought, well lets give this trend a go!

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Black and White Contrast Jumpsuit with Gold Mirrored Belt that I chose from Rare London, was the perfect length for me. Normally a jumpsuit or any kind of trouser purchase can be a nightmare as the leg length is always too long. But as I put on this fabulous crepe feel one piece I was really happy with the length and the look and it’s perfect for this season’s monochrome trend.

The white wrap front top contrasts really nicely with the masculine style trouser of the jumpsuit and the gold mirrored belt breaks up the look well. The belt is detachable too if it’s not your style. I teamed with a bright coral statement necklace and blue very high heels plus a little leather jacket and Diane Von Furstenberg clutch

Now word of warning, it was date night for me and Mr LadyM. A nice romantic dinner and when I put the jumpsuit on it was very gapey at the front. So I did wear a white slip top underneath to protect my modesty. But if you are wearing this clubbing and are fortunate “up top”, shall we say, then it does work without a top underneath.

Another warning it is hand wash only. But you can’t win them all and that’s why there is a hand wash setting on the washing machine isn’t it? No worries!

The jumpsuit felt so comfortable on. I did feel a little Farrah Fawcett/Anneka Rice but it was a great look for a night out and I felt like it was a really great outfit all together, thanks Rare.
