Coco Blue Boutique was founded in 2006 by sisters Kellie Grainger and Sarah Haste. The Taunton ladies have always had a real love of fashion but felt that their home town was coming up short of requirement for boutiques with stylish clothing. For many years the sisters dreamt of running their own fashion boutique, “We thought it would be wonderful if you could go to one shop for great denim, the best footwear from Italy, accessories normally only found in London and a cherry picked selection of daywear with a difference.”

Coco Blue boutique features great designers such as Farhi by Nicole, Ally Capellino and Made. As well as jewellery by Fiva, Bibi and Jas MB Handbags.

“I think it’s so important to meet with the designers to get a clear sense of the creative process behind their work which we can then share with our customers” Kellie Grainger on sourcing designer pieces.

The focus in the collection is investment pieces rather than throw-away fashion that is often found on the high street. Whilst the team at Coco Blue are very aware of current fashion trends, they like to have collections in the shop that customers will have in their wardrobes for many years.

Kellie and Sarah are thrilled to be one of a very few retailers in the UK to be stocking Fiorentini + Baker. The footwear collection has been a huge success with beautiful hand-stitched Italian leather with cutting edge rock-chic style.

Coco Blue – what’s next for 2011

Kellie and Sarah are really excited by the new collections for 2011. Their favourite designers Bolongaro Trevor, the brainchild created by the original founders of All Saints, have produced an amazing collection full of digital prints, lace, leather inspired by vintage pieces with a dark edge.

As well as exciting new pieces for their collection they are also having a complete makeover of their Taunton store in january, making way for with six new footwear brands, including Chie Mihara, vintage styled Spanish shoes and Lama Peach a really fantastic Italian boot label.
