Accessorise with aMuse Fashions

Statement jewellery for the inner artist has been created by a new online accessories boutique, aMuse Fashions. Offering modern fashion and focusing on creating handmade jewellery from modern materials. The pieces are easy to wear and contemporary in style and designed and soured by Creative Director Sarah Nettleton.

Sarah began aMuse Fashions to provide light weight, statement jewellery for the woman who enjoys artistic pieces without wanting the hassle of heavy materials.  “I have a great interest in modern materials and accessories, but a low tolerance for heavy earrings and necklaces. Designing and creating the pieces myself seemed like the perfect way to find what I wanted while doing something I loved,” says Sarah.  Based in London, she draws her inspiration from the art and culture of the city as well as from her New England upbringing.

“I see the aMuse woman as one who has a lively lifestyle, enjoys art, and is looking for that something different to accessorise her wardrobe.”

The Collection

There is a great collection of rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets available from aMuse Fashions. Here are a few of our favourites with a little explanation from Sarah as to whey they are her favourites.

Belt Ring

Fantastically bright and good fun, this ring is hand formed using epoxy clay and decorated with recycled magazine and 22ct gold leaf. “The belt is significant to me as it was the first piece I designed and it shows a bit more of the modern art influences in my work.”

Rose Necklace

A rose is a rose and a cascade of roses can make a beautiful necklace. Handmade epoxy roses gilded with sterling silver and strung in a cascade from a sterling silver chain to create a classical neckline.

“The rose collection I feel ties in nicely with spring and with some of the designs I am working on for up coming collections.”

Coral Necklace

From the seaside collection, The beauty of the seaside with a synthetic spark. Handmade piece of resin coral decorated with red variegated faux gold leaf is surrounded by brass chain and offset by a red Swarovski crystal.

“The coral necklace and mermaid’s purse necklace are my favourites as they were heavily influenced by my childhood in New England”.

Handmade epoxy mermaids’ purses containing dark green Swarovski crystal pearls and decorated with sterling silver leaf. Strung from a sterling silver chain.
