Versace, Marni, and now the ubiquitous Anna Dello Russo – H&M have been on a fashion roll of late. ADR is infamous for her highly over-styled and daring looks, her ‘more is more’ approach, and for being a fashion editor to end all fashion editors.
Anna Dello Russo for H&M
Given her penchant for wildly adventurous accessories, it’s fitting that Dello Russo’s line will be a purely accessories based one, including jewellery, sunglasses, bags, and even a trolley for the most serious shoppers amongst us. In a press release from the brand, Dello Russo commented: ‘I am excited by this collaboration: this is the first time H&M has involved a fashion director in a special project. This is the sign of an important evolution in fashion, and I am both thrilled and humbled to be the one chose to lead it.’
From first glances, the line is a stunner. Turquoise and gold are the theme colours, everything that can be embellished is embellished, and the line displays a level of opulence that would make even the Palace of Versailles blush. It’s pure ADR. Take a look at the sneak preview pictures of the line, and let us know what you think. The line will be released in H&M stores and online October 4th, so plenty of time to start sharpening up those elbows…
