At home with Kaleidoscope
In between attending wedding fairs, work trips and fashion week events in London and Paris, I’m trying to get our new cottage looking fabulous. This week I’m inspired by the latest homeware to arrive at Kaleidoscope and it’s getting me excited about Spring.
I’ve got some big ideas for our country cottage. The theme will be Provencal style, shabby chic. That’s why I love this Guru Large Sideboard. Yes it is rather large but it will look grand in my sitting room! It’s made from acacia wood with a subtle wash over it which highlights the grain, giving it a little coastal windswept beach look.
Anyone who knows me, knows I love both Paris and cheese! So stumbling across this cheese platter and knife set was a perk of browsing the Kaleidoscope home section. The platter is decorated in a vintage French camembert design and the set also contains a stainless steel cheese knife with a stylish ’cheese’ labelled porcelain handle. I think this is the perfect gift for celebrating a friends new home or if you’re a cheese lover, then a gift for your own home.
As Spring is threatening to bring us a little joy at last, I’m thinking about wall decoration. How about a bit of Flutterby wallpaper with the Graham & Brown Flutterby Wallcovering by Julien MacDonald? From the fabulous British fashion designer, Julien MacDonald, incorporating a great range of colours on a pearl white background, this wallpaper will brighten up your living room.
What key pieces are you looking at buying for your home this season? Any great homeware websites you care to share with us all?
