The Autumn/Winter 12 Collections shown on the catwalks of London Fashion Week way back in February brought us texture and tones, edgy outerwear, a touch of the Neo Goth and stylish ladies who lunch.
Autumn/Winter Lookbook – with Ella from Viyella
We take three key trends and show how you can wear them, taking inspiration from our sponsor Ella by Viyella, British fashion, perfectly styled;
Fruits of the Forest
Texture and tone was key to many of the Autumn/Winter catwalk shows. Website Fashion156.com noted the colour palette as “intense forest tones – rust, moss green, berry red, earth brown – merged with petrol blue, darkened turquoise and navy”. We saw a lot of cashmere and wool mixing with tartans in reds, blacks and blues – giving depth and texture to the collections.
Leather & Lace
The Neo Goth trend was popping out across designer spectrum at LFWAW12. If you’re not keen on taking it to the extreme; then mix leather with lace for a dark, secretive look thats sumptuous and stylish. Black is key, but soften it up with our favourite; the berry leather pencil skirt.
Daytime Glamour
There was still the sense of the 1950′s Americana smart woman, with structured tailoring at Jean Pierre Braganza. Ella by Viyella give us Country Girl Chic. From London to Somerset and every city and county in between. Smart city tailoring with a country glamour feel.
About Ella by Viyella
The new Ella by Viyella collection offers a heritage-inspired look with a modern twist. Taking inspiration from country pursuits, Ella’s key pieces include a hacking jacket, a berry leather pencil skirt and a toffee cashmere cardigan. Sophisticated and timeless, you will be wearing these clothes for years to come.
