Caroline Charles celebrating 50 years in fashion

British fashion designer Caroline Charles this year celebrates 50 years as a leading London designer. To coincide with this she also launches a glossy hard-back book full of vibrant imagery, press cuttings, sketches and diary extracts from her time in the world of fashion.

Caroline Charles – British Fashion

Published by Antique Collectors Club and available to buy this November, Caroline’s book is a delightful platform for her to share her quips, life-lessons and career highlights. Caroline Charles’ career has spanned five decades, and this book looks at her start as a young designer in the swinging 1960s – dressing Marianne Faithfull, Ringo Starr and Cilla – to opening shops in Beverly Hills and beyond; dressing Diana, Princess of Wales in the 1980s to taking the Caroline Charles brand to Japan; and to preparing for today’s catwalks at London Fashion Week.

This behind-the-scenes glimpse at the fashion world charts the rise, success and expansion of this very British yet global designer brand, with extracts from Caroline Charles’s working diaries and press books, plus an array of celebrity and fashion images. Caroline’s insight into the people, the places and the business of fashion makes for fascinating reading.

The book is available to buy online now and will be in stores on from Wednesday 14th November.
