Celebrating the Season – guest blog from Kerry McNair
I love autumn. The air is crisp, the leaves are golden brown and there’s something very comforting about slipping back into your winter wardrobe. This week I dusted off my knee high boots, bought some thick black tights and a red cashmere jumper and was reunited with my favourite pair of gloves. I’m actually (dare I say it) feeling a little Christmassy. Hooray!
Autumn is always a popular time for makeover shoots as people prepare for the festive season. I’ve got a shoot coming up with two lovely sisters who want to give the photographs to their parents for Christmas. The images will make a lovely gift that they can treasure forever.
Winter weddings
This month I also popped along to The Spa Hotel in Royal Tunbridge Wells, for their wedding fair, where I met some lovely brides and grooms. Winter weddings are absolutely wonderful and The Spa Hotel is a perfect location – I can say that, as I got married there myself!
I saw plenty of talented people at the fair too – Zoe from Linden Cakes of Mayfield with her amazingly delicious creations, and Carol from Cut Above Productions, whose wedding videography never fails to impress me. It’s always lovely to catch up with such fabulous people!
Once we’re past Bonfire night, Christmas will be just around the corner and it’s a time of year I just love. And to any nervous chaps out there considering how they’re going to propose, my advice is – go for it!
