DAREcember | The Style Challenge Roundup
For the entire length of December I took up the style dare challenge from dare diva, Aussie blogger Andrea of Fox in Flats. If you want a style challenge, this is the one to get you obsessed and it is all diarised via instagram. You can see my day one to day twelve style dares here.
I have to admit I missed a few style dare days when I knew I wouldn’t be able to manage it. Such as “Slick” on day thirty , my hair just wouldn’t suit it and “Curves” on day eighteen, I don’t really have any to flaunt. Plus day fourteen “bare back”, it works for the Australian based bloggers but isn’t what one wants to be doing in the height of the British winter!
All in all the thirty one days of style challenges was really fun. It got me thinking, made me think about my wardrobe in a more creative way and it was great to see how others styled the same theme.
Here are day thirteen to the end of the challenge with a little bit of info to explain all.
Day 13. Killer Heels featuring Gianvito Rossi for Mary Katrantzou
Day 15. Vintage – with a vintage handbag from Napier, New Zealand. It’s a little bit Margaret Thatcher and I love it!
Day 16. Ring Bling featuring my engagement ring from Goldsmiths, ring by Neola Design and a vintage family pinkie finger ring, plus bracelet from Bella Jane Jewellery
Day 17. Mixed Prints – Grey leopard print Boden cropped trousers and a green morse code print top from Hobbs
Day 19. Now I’m not good at new makeup looks so I used the Makeup Genius App by L’Oréal Paris for my Cats Eye look.
Day 20 – Rock Chic – featuring my Zoe Karssen rock print sleeveless sweater
Day 21. Product Free – a brave day, sans makeup or any products at all. An early morning natural photo shoot!
Day 22 – Off the cuff – I teamed a cobalt blue cuff bought in New Zealand with my Clarks Shoe Boots and thick black tights. Very wintery in the UK!
Day 23 – Going Up – a throwback to a La Redoute photo shoot featuring Ariane Poole makeup
Day 24 – Baubles – well a little bit of bling to get in the Christmas mood
Day 25 – Merry Christmas with red lipstick, again using the Make-up Genius App by L’Oréal Paris I’m not the best with red lipstick I must admit!
Day 26 – White – A throwback to holidays in south of France wearing Kaleidoscope top, Boden bistro crop pants and a House of Fraser Clutch
Day 27 – Something new – a new top from Boden, a deer print perfect for an Autumnal day
Day 28 – On your head – sporting a black hat I’ve had for a while
Day 29 – Metallica featuring La Redoute gold blazer and Stella and Dot necklace
Day 31 – Sparkles for New Years Eve, featuring La Redoute cashmere and Phase Eight Necklace
