Swimwear is one of the few areas of my wardrobe that I completely revamp each season and get a fresh start – aside from a few stand-by favourites. I used to spend the entire summer lounging by the pool or on the beach, so my summer wardrobe mainly consisted of bikinis and coverups.
Swimwear Trends 2011
With that much wear every year I would get a bit bored by the end of each Summer. When Spring arrived I couldn’t wait to buy all the new styles in anticipation of a long hot Summer. Floral swimwear is making its mark as one of the top trends this season so I have picked out a few favourites I have my eye on.
This floral bikini from Pureda is ideal for lying in the sun, reading a light summer chic flick, drinking a white wine spritzer (I’m dreaming) – but this bikini really is perfect for those types of days. It will fill the space as the ‘itsy bitsy bikini’ for minimal tan lines in a flirty floral print. It also has a hidden underwire so if you decide to take a quick dip you will be well supported.
Vintage 50′s style has been very popular this season and Midnight Grace by figleaves.com and Seafolly have both incorporated this style into the floral swimwear trend. The English Rose range has high rise ruched briefs which are great for a little extra coverage and tummy control and the Marilyn Monroe inspired swimsuit from Midnight Grace will make you feel confident and sexy like a true movie star.
There are plenty of floral swimsuits and bikinis to choose from at figleaves.com. Whatever your preferred style, floral swimwear is sure to make you feel fun and fabulous this summer.

I love all three designs but for my shape my preference would be the pink and white bikini going for maximum tan showing minimum tum. If this style was cut away a little higher at the leg it would be absolutely perfect. Well done Figleaves.
I love the black one piece at the bottom. The shape of this is unique and classy, and I love the vintage inspiration behind it.
I’m so tired of black swimwear, love these floral ones
