It’s my busiest time of year and the one I enjoy the most – yep, wedding season is here! I’m gearing up for a pretty packed schedule later this summer by organising a styled wedding shoot with some amazing local businesses. A styled shoot is a great way to get me back into the wedding mind-set and makes me excited for the real weddings I’ll be shooting over the next few months!
I did a lot of research into local wedding businesses before the shoot because I wanted to work with the very best. One thing I knew had to be right was the dress – it’s one of the most important (and most exciting!) wedding purchases and something many brides have been dreaming about since they were little girls. Finding ‘the one’ is a joyous experience and something you’ll never forget.
Shopping for the perfect wedding dress
The dress I chose for my styled wedding shoot is from Frou Frou Bridal. Owners Nicole and Helena were so helpful in my hunt for the perfect dress – they stock a range of styles, from slinky and slim-fitting to big, bold and beautiful, whether you’re a boho bride or want that vintage look. I was so impressed by the choice… it felt like I was choosing my own wedding dress all over again!
Frou Frou also carry bridal accessories from some of my favourite designers, like Rachel Simpson shoes and Vivien Sheriff milliners. There are lots of different styles available and I picked out a few key pieces for the shoot.

Tunbridge Wells is a must-visit during your wedding dress search – there are four bridal shops covering many of the popular wedding designers as well as some more unique names. And if you’re looking for a real showstopper, a number of high-end dress designers live here in Tunbridge Wells, too!
