We love the British High Street. Nothing beats a Saturday morning window shopping, checking out the latest offerings from great British shops and working on a new look for the new season.  So when House of Fraser set us fashion bloggers the task of creating great Autumn/Winter looks we jumped at the chance!

Autumn/Winter 12 – Our looks

We’ve looked at two key trends for the season; Neo Goth and Purple and shown our three favourite pieces from the House of Fraser new arrivals from Autumn/Winter. Then we give you our key look from the offerings for this season.

Neo Goth

We’re loving the Neo Goth look for Autumn/Winter. Black never goes out of fashion, now you can rev it up with a bit of glam goth. We saw a lot of leather on the catwalks at London Fashion Week and catwalks of for A/W12 from Vanessa Bruno, Chanel and PPQ to name but a few. Black leather mixed with lace and knee high boots gives a touch of goth to an otherwise ladylike season.

Neo Goth – Autumn/Winter Trend from House of Fraser

• Mary Porta Leather Snake Skirt – pretty cool, wear with a white tee for a funky look in the office or dress up for a night out

Purple Reign

Purple has been seen on the catwalk for the last few seasons but this season collections were really about fearless fashion for females. Purple radiates opulence, links back to the days when only royalty could wear this hue and is all about making a statement. Velvet and shot silk satin in ruffles and layers were also omnipresent and it really felt like clothes that made you feel rich and glamorous from the inside from the tones and textures you wear.

Our Autumn/Winter Look

We can’t resist an outfit starting from a dress. For this look it’s all about a fun night out with the girls, hitting the town, sipping a few cocktails and having a lot of laughs.
