Paying attention to detail
In a world of mass production and mainstream culture it is difficult to set oneself apart from the crowd. Even though there are many different styles which people can decide for, one will sooner or later discover that all individualist fashion styles are actually part of the mainstream, too. The real individualists have to become active designers themselves. And there are a hundred ways to get there. Some tailor their own jeans, others sew their own dresses. And for those who are not as skilled or patient to do that, there is still the chance to create their jewellery with beads and materials of their choice.
How to make jewellery
First of all, one has to decide what kind of jewellery it should be. Should it be more elegant and decent, or should it be playful including many colors and shapes? Depending on one’s individual style and with the help of some pictures or drawings one can get the right amount of inspiration. And there are many different materials one can use, for example leather straps, a selection of Chamilia beads and charms, feathers and stones. They can all be used to create a truly individual and unique piece, be it a bracelet or an earring.
Vintage jewelry
One really good idea would be to combine the self-made jewellery with vintage styles. There are many lavalieres reminding us of earlier times which can add something special to the handmade creation. The good thing is that these accessories are affordable and it is not necessary to spend a lot of money. It is also a very good idea to create one’s own jewellery as an heirloom or to give it to a friend as a mojo or a souvenir. Due to the fact that it is handmade and personal, it will remind the person receiving it of the maker forever.
