Kaleidoscope Office Wardrobe | Blogger Expert
This month I am excited to announce that I have joined British online fashion destination, Kaleidoscope as their Blogger Expert. Alongside Deborah from Bang on Style, I shall be posting every other month my outfits of the day from the Kaleidoscope collections, featuring my style tips and inside information.
For my first post as resident Blogger Expert, it’s all about workwear. Building a capsule office wardrobe can be expensive, but as Meghan Trainor sings, “It’s all about the bass”, well in this respect it’s the base of your wardrobe that’s essential. A good pair of trousers, black or navy, a blazer that matches it and a selection of blouses or shirts that work with your body shape. From that you can build with colour, print and the latest fashion trends.
Personally I love wearing a dress to the office. I work in a male dominated industry by day (find out about it here) so wearing a dress is a great way to be smart without having to go down the staid suit route. Kaleidoscope’s Check Knit Dress is just perfect. It’s a cotton acrylic mix and is perfect for transitioning between seasons. Very warm at the start of the day, but cooling when the temperature rises in the office. The long sleeves are great for adding a smart touch and the check print feels very ‘Mad Men’ inspired. I’ve had a lot of compliments when wearing it and it’s a great dress to wear to the office and then onto cocktails in the evening.
I also added to my outfit, although not pictured, the Fiorelli Croc Bag in classic black. The Fiorelli ‘Olivia Jade’ ( I love how they name their bags with girls names!) is very spacious, but even when bursting – trust me I’ve filled it to the rim! It still maintains a level of smartness and I think is a great investment for your office wardrobe.
When it comes to shoes, I know my stuff. I’m ashamed to tell you how many pairs of shoes I have but let’s just say, if we were measuring shades of grey… well we’d be close (if you know what I mean!). I rarely buy black shoes, I love packing a punch with a coloured pair of shoes. I was rather taken by Kaleidoscope’s Panel Trim Court Shoes though, as they are smart in black suede and great for the office but have a little extra to them with subtle panels of metallic and snake skin, just to be a little different. Plus there is also with a matching clutch bag available.
I took part in an interview with Kaleidoscope for their blog and their Outfit of the Day feature. Have a read here and find out what key trends I will be showcasing this season and how often I de-clutter my wardrobe.

Hi Rachel, this is my first time on your site. Well done on becoming brand ambassador for Kaleidoscope. I’ve never actually bought anything from here before. Your knitted dress looks so stylish and comfy. Love your pop of pink nail polish too. You look great!
