These days there are more designer collaborations that you can shake a fashionable stick at. We’ve had Versace for H&M, Stella McCartney is designing the Adidas Olympic Team GB kit and a public collection and this week sees the launch of Mary Katrantzou for Topshop.

But one collection that has taken our breath away and that we were waiting for a long time for, was not really a collaboration. More of a platform to bring a designer god’s work to the masses.

Now, the cult fashion icon that is Karl Lagerfeld has brought a collection simply named KARL to Net-A-Porter for us all to coo over and covet. The collection is very “Karl” with biker bests and blazers, embellished collars and KARL logo teeshirts and sweatshirts. You can emulate a little bit of Mr Lagerfeld’s look with pieces from his collection. Did we mention the cutaway leather gloves?

LadyM herself has already snapped up a Jacinda Karl Print Jersey T-Shirt and it arrived in Net-A-Porter’s trademark beautifully packaged, wrapped in black tissue paper and in a beautiful sleek black box. A delight and it felt truly special to receive it. and worth every penny.
