Kusmi Tea comes to London
For 140 years, Kusmi Tea has been sourcing and offering the finest in high quality tea blends. Founded in 1867 by P.M Kousmichoff and established in Paris since 1917. The famous tea brand offers unique Russian blends like Prince Wladimir Tea, Anastasia or Saint Petersbourg tea, whose recipes are kept secret for more than a century, but also many traditional and flavored blends. More recently, Kusmi Tea has launched a wellness tea collection with the delicious Detox tea , the soothing Be Cool or the stimulating Boost. Distributed all over the world, the Kusmi teas are a reference for tea connoisseur, and every tea lovers.
Now they have a fabulous store at 15 Marylebone High Street, London, W1. So you can test out the teas in the flesh, learn all about the blends and discover a whole new world. There are black teas, Russian teas, classic teas, fruit teas, infusions, detox teas, rooibos and herbal, green teas…. So many to choose from.
As a passionate coffee drinker, it takes a lot to move LadyM to make a cup of tea. When a fabulous selection of Kusmi Tea’s arrived in the LMP office, the kettle was put on and the china tea set dusted off. First up the Ceylon OP – a classic blend of black tea with long leaves.
With instructions on the pack to brew for three minutes at 85-90◦C, with a splash of milk. It was actually, rather divine! A gentle tea but with a punchy little flavour.
The packaging is one of the most captivating aspects of the brand. Classic asian theme mixed with bright, bold stylish packaging. It’s old world meets new context. It works really well.
