For this weeks blog I’m moving away from my passion for fashion to my main passion in life. In the next two months I will be running in a total of 40km – two 10km races and one Half Marathon. Eeek! I really have been upping the training levels, snow permitting.
Running with AudioFuel
So for this week I want to totally promote a great company who have been helping me on my way to clocking up the k’s on the treadmill and out on the streets.
I first came across AudioFuel whilst taking part in a research project for the University of Wolverhampton through Runners World Magazine. It was research all about how emotions affect running and how music can play a part in your training. I am totally an ipod runner. I can’t run down the road without having music, I simply just can’t get anywhere, I need a bit of Kasabian, Prodigy and dare I say it PJ & Duncan to get me moving! ( Ok don’t tell anyone about that last comment sssh!)
AudioFuel is a fabulous company who have a website set up for the purpose to “download music composed specifically for running and jogging with a beat to exactly match and drive your stride whatever your pace”. In the last two months it has totally changed my training, motivated me to get my butt in gear and to really succeed in my goals.
On Monday 11th January, 2010 AudioFuel will be releasing three, two hour long tracks to download via their website for those crazy people training for marathons or half marathons. I was lucky enough to be invited to test out their hour long track and it really is great.
It involves music with great beats, some new music and some classic Audiofuel tracks. Its voiceover gets you to concentrate on your breathing and posture; it has motivational pacing and really gets your head in gear. The music is set to specific beats per minute and really helps you to get a good pace going, and it’s nice to have a calming voice in your ear every so often.
I thoroughly recommend AudioFuel downloads from budding beginners to hardcore runners. There is something for everyone with over 40 tracks to choose from, varying in low, mid and high intensity to really boost your work out.
For all those of you with New Years Resolutions to get fit, lose some pounds or simply up your running game head to http://www.audiofuel.co.uk/ and remember to check out their new longer tracks when they are released on Monday 11th January.
Good luck, keep your feet moving and remember it might be tough at the time but just think of the feeling once you’ve completed your workout!
