Sponsored Video Merino. No Finer Feeling™

How often do you go shopping for clothes and never look past the style of the garment to see what it is made from?  I learnt my lesson the hard way, so I now check what is “dry clean only” before I buy.  But I have to admit that I don’t always check what materials have gone into making the pieces of fashion I snap up regularly.

Merino. No Finer Feeling™

That was until I heard about Merino.  Well actually it was more when I felt Merino.  With an Aunt who has a passion for making anything from wool, after a trip to Australia, she discovered Merino wool and bought the softest, most luxurious jacket back to England.  As well as feeling fabulous Merino Wool is the perfect fibre, it’s natural, biodegradable and renewable and it is fast becoming the fibre of choice due to its performance and natural attributes.

When you think wool, you might think of chunky knits but Merino Wool can be woven into the finest of slim knit sweaters to provide great warmth even in fine garments.  It’s perfect for all clothes from vests to be worn under your clothes for an extra layer of warmth to the layering inside of gloves as well as every other item of clothing in between.  In contrast to synthetics, Merino is an active fibre that reacts to changes in body temperature. So it helps you stay warm when the weather is cold, and cool when the weather is hot, what more could you want?  Well there is something more.  You read wool, you think handwash don’t you? Well gone are those days, Merino Wool is machine washable and can be tumble dried.  It’s very elastic too so requires less ironing than other fabrics, perfect if like me you avoid ironing at all costs.

Merino Wool have launched the ‘Merino. No Finer Feeling™’ campaign is a five year global fibre education campaign which aims to inform consumers about the benefits and attributes of Merino Wool from Australia.  So now the secret is out and we’re sharing this fibre with you.  Australian Merino is the remarkable result of millions of years of evolution, with unique benefits flow through to the luxuriously soft and stylish clothing crafted from it.  It’s great that is is a natural fibre that is kind to your skin and feels so good. The fibre can be used in an array of products as it is so versatile and of such good quality.  It is no wonder that Merino Wool is a favourite of designers such as Giorgio Armani and Ermenegildo Zegna and is inspiring them to work on designs that incorporate it. In the current age of throw-away fashion, when it comes to expanding your wardrobe you’ve got to think about what will look great, but it’s also about what feels great and Merino is a greet investment. You’ll be warm, feel fabulous and look great all with a natural fibre.

So make sure you read labels on clothes more often and look out for Merino Wool.  Once you’ve tried it you’ll realise what you’ve been missing all this time.
