Product Rave: Jergens Original Beauty Lotion

I’ve reviewed the new incarnation of the Jergens range before, and been very impressed with the results. I was very excited to try the new Cherry-Almond Original Beauty Lotion, and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.

Jergens Cherry-Almond Original Beauty Lotion

When I saw that the range featured a cherry and almond scented body lotion, I was extremely keen to try it. I’ve been hugely impressed by the cocoa butter lotion I’ve been using from Jergens, as the consistency is absolutely spot on, not too greasy and not too thin. My wish came true when a giant box of goodies was delivered to my door last week containing the lotion, a box of Bakewell tarts, some cherry drops, and pastel coloured sugared almonds. Obviously I ate pretty much all of it straight away, and then I tested the lotion.

I’m one of those people who is really appalling at bothering to apply body moisturiser. Oh, I know, it’s hardly a cardinal sin, but once I’m wrapped up in a towel post-bath, I can’t be bothered to open up a tub, apply, and wait for it to sink in. That’s why I’ve been so impressed with Jergens: the tube makes it really easy to use, and the texture means it gets absorbed very quickly. And then there’s the smell…mmm. Heavenly, and somehow not too sweet, making it perfectly suitable for daily wear. It leaves me skin soft, glowing, and moisturised all day. Once again, I’ve been hugely impressed by Jergens, and am looking forward to trying more of their range.

I really like the ‘no fuss’ appeal of Jergens, the good quality of their products, and at £3.49 for 200ml I also really like the price tag. I’ve used ridiculously expensive body lotions and moisturisers which haven’t worked as well as this, so I give Jergens yet another two thumbs up for their Original Beauty Lotion. You can purchase the lotions in Boots. Go forth and enjoy smelling vaguely of a delicious Bakewell…
