Here at LadyM Towers we love anything local. We’re all for promoting local designers, boutiques and businesses. So when we heard about a leather designer based in St Leonards, East Sussex, we couldn’t wait to check out her wares.
St Leonards – Stylish Leather Accessories
Former product developer and designer for the High Street, “K” Avery-Stallion has bucked the system and now only designs what she knows feel right regardless of the feverish pace of “fast fashion” and what’s “on trend”. This leads to the refreshing leather accessories brand named after the town where she is based, St Leonards.
Her pieces are understated stylish designs for confident men and women who like practical well made products. As the granddaughter of leather manufacturer Robert Avery, “K” has spent several years searching for the right production and taking her time to get the materials and components right, she ditched her numerous day jobs to pursue her business full time. Sadly she even sold her beloved vintage Figaro to fund the first prototype collection so we know her heart is really in it! St Leonards was officially launched at the Country Living Fair in November in 2010.
Many of the product’s names are taken from local streets of the historical Georgian town of St Leonards and the local East Sussex area.
Buttery soft leather handbags and purses feature in the womens collection whilst there is also a mens collection of satchels and laptop cases.
