Stella McCartney to oversee design of Team GB 2012 Olympic Sportswear

Adidas, who are the official sportswear partner for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games announced on Wednesday 14th July, 2010, that they have appointed British fashion designer, Stella McCartney as their Creative Director for their Adidas Team GB sportswear ranges.

McCartney will oversee designs of the performancewear athlete kit and also village wear (the after events loungewear) and presentational outfits for the ceremonies. This is the first time that a leading fashion designer has worked with a major sports brand to design sportswear for the National Olympic and Paralympic Teams.

There will also be a range of Adidas womens and menswear collections available for the general public on sale from the Autumn.
