Tunbridge Wells based Sue Hill, known for her classic hand-knitted cashmere baby and children’s clothing, is launching her Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
Sue Hill Handknits – Childrens clothing
Founder Sue Hill started her business seven years ago and now has a number of celebrity customers who demand the highest quality childrens clothing and especially love the luxury Loro Piana yarn used by Sue’s knitters. High-profile names associated with Sue’s handmade clothing include Stella McCartney, Geri Halliwell, Charlotte Church, Davina McCall, Sting and Trudi Styler.
Sue Hill Handknits’ range, for children 0 to 10 years, is made from Loro Piana pure cashmere and cotton/cashmere blend, Liberty print and pure linen fabrics. The new collection introduces seasonal Liberty print fabrics combined with a beautiful, pure linen from Belgium in tones of pinks, peach, white and deep grey.
The Baby Collection
From birth to two years, this collection features Sue’s timeless pieces for baby boys and girls in Liberty print, linen and Loro Piana cotton/cashmere. It includes boys’ rompers, dress rompers, puff pants, sun hats, cardigans and blankets in cream, pale pink, pale blue and pale grey.

The Girl’s and Boys’ Collection
For two to ten years, this collection features sun dresses, kaftans, day dresses and party dresses, boys’ shirts and shorts. Sue has chosen from both the Liberty Classic and AW11 fabrics and has teamed them up with 100% linen and 100% fine cotton fabric.

Sue explains, “We take pride in the fact that all our garments and accessories are made entirely in the UK and all by hand. The knitting, sewing, embroidery, covered buttons and even the labels are sewn on by hand. Each piece is gift wrapped in one of our signature gift boxes with layers of tissue and ribbon and the signature swing ticket shows the name of the lady who made it. We have our own team of knitters and dressmakers, ensuring the best quality possible. We remain a small, caring business, offering a personal service, second to none.”
This collection will be available to buy in Sue’s own store in Tunbridge Wells from March onwards and on the website www.suehillhandknits.co.uk from March 1st 2012.
