When it comes to fitness you could say that I’m pretty much in Team Adidas. I never wear anything else now to be honest. I don’t know how it happened or why really but over time you get used to certain brands; like you do shampoo and toothpaste I guess and now I’m Adidas through and through.

Fitness starts with the right kit

This year I’m really trying to up the running game. I’ve given myself the mission of at least one road run a week, which I’ve managed every week of the year so far; as I train for London 10,000 in May and Amsterdam 8k in October. Naturally as a keen shopper and lover of the sales; I procured some Adidas Women’s Supernova Glide 4 in the January sales. They’ve been great for getting my running mojo back. But when the lovely guys at XLS Medical sent me some Adidas Questar Lds23′s to test out – I clearly wasn’t going to say no!

They look fabulous next to my other current favourite trainers and they are quite possibly the most comfortable trainers I have ever worn! (I say this now I only do a max of 10km really; after 23 miles I might be saying something different!).  These trainers I have designated for the gym and for circuit training (since my usual running trainers end up a tad muddy).

They are really good for grounding my feet. I tend to over-pronate occasionally, especially when weight training. So it’s really important for me to have footwear to put faith into; they have to keep me grounded when I’m dead lifting 75kg.

Plus they are great for sprinting between meta fit rounds at circuit training. Outstanding performance for a trainer. I’m a UK size four and they fit snuggly but well. Perfect for the gym and for running. With a low heel so there isn’t any chance of blisters if I was to wear them on a long run – an all round decent pair of trainers that will boost your gym sessions for sure.
