Beauty Box | CODE Beautiful VLM Mascara
It’s been a while since we delved into our #beautybox but this week we have star product we just can’t wait to rave about. Becky at Beauté in Tunbridge Wells, my go to guru for all things beauty and most importantly for anything I apply to my face told me about Code Beautiful and their fabulous CODE Volume Lengthening Mascara. So I had to find out more and test it out!
CODE Beautiful is a mascara brand which launched after two women went on a mission to find the ultimate mascara. Well this is a big mission, they spent a year testing and working their own perfect formulas because they just couldn’t find what they were looking for in the marketplace. From all this CODE Beautiful was launched, with a mascara that is light yet powerful, one to be worn throughout the day with a professional look and then layered up for a night out on the town. Plus more importantly, without any clumping, smudging or flaking – perfect!
I have to admit I am a little bit smitten. As someone who does tend to re-apply mascara throughout the day I often have what feels like heavy lids towards the end of the night and clumpy lashes. But with CODE VLM this doesn’t happen. A lot of research has been done into the formulation and the brush to give this volumising mascara without the weight.
The brush is a full bristle brush that has been designed to grab every lash giving definition and volume without that clumpy look that often a lot of mascara can give us. It’s easy to hold in the hand whilst applying and thick enough to have a firm hand whilst you do it, but the packaging isn’t too big for your make up bag.
The formulation contains vitamins and waxes that are designed to encourage lash growth and within the deep black formula a sealing agent to protect lashes too, whilst allowing you to build and build your look as much as you like.
I’ll let you into their styling secret too to give the ultimate in a hot lash look:
- Roots – pop the brush up to your lashes as close to the root as you can
- Wriggle – give the brush a good wriggle back and forth a few times
- Roll – The brush from root to tip
