I am very excited to be sitting in our newly decorated office, in our country cottage, home of LadyM Towers. It’s only taken ten months to get to this glorious day. Now I am sitting here editing this article that has been entirely written on my iPad.

Now this might be nothing new to you, but for me, I use my iPad solely for reading Kindle books when travelling and typing rushed notes post-shows during fashion week. It’s a way of getting all my ideas out on “paper” before the creative inspiration from events is lost. I am not very good at it and I don’t normally enjoy it. I find it very hard to type at my usual speed on the iPad keyboard in a word app.

I won’t brag but I was the unofficial fastest temp typer in Basingstoke circa 1999, but that is of course with a keyboard. When the lovely people at Three sent me a Caseflex bluetooth keyboard, this meant I could type as fast as I like, on the move, wherever I am. The keyboard is about an inch longer than my iPad but very slimline so it fits in my handbag. Super light weight and with a standby time of 130 days. I will always be taking this away with me for flights, meetings, events and generally whenever my Ipad is with me. What is also great is that it can connect ia Bluetooth to my iPhone, so I can type text messages super quick too.

No longer will I be at meetings with my Macbook Pro or taking it along to fashion week for those mad minutes of note taking

I feel ultra efficient, I feel that I am making the most of my time between fashion shows, when on public transport and whenever an idea comes into my head. I am not one to sit still and do nothing during a journey, so the keyboard allows me to be the active creative that I want to be. I find I can get ideas out of my head and onto the screen so much faster, I don’t know why I didn’t invest in one of these years ago.
